A striking new coffee table, with wide Oak decking boards, original to the cart, with the scars to prove it. A reclaimed cart with antique wood. In addition to the usual scratches and grooves, a unique surface pattern led us to call this the 'shotgun cart.' A craftsman likely secured the piece he was working on to one side (hence the grooves), and pre-set nail holes, perhaps, into the other side (hence the divots). Whatever its history, it resulted in a gorgeous, textural top surface. But that's not the only focal point to this cart - the stencil on the side of the frame (original, NOT re-inked) is strong, and the polished cast iron hardware has clear, strong part numbers in relief.
